Retired Professional Rugby League player, now Community & Welfare Manager at Rugby League Cares
Keith is a former professional rugby league player who played in the Super League and has represented Great Britain and England internationally. He is considered one of the greatest players of the Super League era.
He is now involved with the charity Rugby League Cares whose mission is to enhance and enrich people’s lives through the power and positive influence of Rugby League. They work hard to ensure the sport’s most important stakeholders, its playing community, get the most out of their involvement in the game, both during their careers and post-retirement. He combines his role with the position of assistant coach at Sheffield Eagles. Keith is also a Mental Fitness Programme Facilitators for the Rugby League World Cup 2021.
With mental health and wellbeing high on the agenda for many employers, Keith will touch on their work on mental wellbeing programmes as well as sharing some of his highs and lows of playing professional sport, and how translates this into helping people build practical skills to remain happier and healthier in work.
Keith will be speaking alongside Jon Dutton, Chief Executive of The Rugby League World Cup 2022.
