Hiring An Apprentice in your Business - All you need to know!
Join us on our Virtual Brunch Event!
We’re giving you the opportunity to ask the things you’ve always wanted to know about hiring an apprentice in your business.
Did you know that you can currently get a grant of up to £3,000 for employing a new apprentice?
Did you know that you can move an existing employee onto an apprentice scheme to learn new skills at no cost?
Did you know that apprentices can be any age from 16 to 60?
Sandy Lindsay MBE, founder of The Juice Academy digital marketing apprenticeship, will be joined by an employer and two apprentices from her Academy to discuss how apprentices in all skill areas can benefit businesses in 2020.
Nick Bianchi, Director of luxury furniture retailer Arighi Bianchi in Macclesfield will discuss why his business benefits from employing apprentices, then one of his own apprentices, Alex Flanagan (‘Flanno’!) will tell us why she chose an apprenticeship over university and outline her role in supporting the business. The final brief speaker will be Jennifer Reay from Just-R, who started her career as a Business Admin apprentice and then chose to move into marketing so was placed on The Juice Academy apprenticeship to gain the vital digital marketing skills she needed for her new role.
A Q&A opportunity will follow, with all speakers happy to take any questions you have on any area of apprenticeships.
Sandy was honoured in the 2015 Queens Birthday list for services to business and young people.
