Doing Business in Cheshire East and the Far East

March 27, 2018

K-Club Members and their invited guests recently enjoyed an exclusive lunch at Tattu Restaurant and Bar, tucked away in Manchester’s Spinningfields.

Following the opportunity to meet over drinks in the Parlour Room, Associate Sue Weighell welcomed guests to the Exclusive event.

Our invited speaker was Ed Salt of Delamere Dairy.  He candidly shared his experiences of retailing what is a fairly ‘non-conventional’ product (goats’ milk in this instance) in both the UK and further afield.

Ed reflected on how he’d approached setbacks in the UK economy and found ways to drive his business in a different direction.  Finding new markets in which to operate led him, amongst other places, to his biggest export market; China and the Far East.

With an additional role as a Director of the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), Ed is able to draw on his experiences to help identify and explore new opportunities for increasing UK trade to overseas markets.

With much topic for discussion, guests then enjoyed a selection of mouth-watering Far Eastern dishes and connected further with one another throughout the event.
