Senior Associate - Employment & Pensions, Fieldfisher
Joanne is Senior Associate in the Employment and Pensions Department of Fieldfisher in Manchester.
She has developed extensive experience in employment law (with over 10 years’ experience) including establishing an employment department in Shropshire at her previous Firm.
Joanne has a strong reputation in all matters relating to contentious and non-contentious employment law and regularly performs her own advocacy in the Employment Tribunal.
She advises a wide range of corporate and private clients, both in the UK and overseas on matters such as post-termination restrictions, collective redundancy issues, business restructures and discrimination issues.

She currently advises numerous GP Practices on issues ranging from Partnership Agreements to general HR issues and also attends GP Partnership meetings for various clients, to input into future Practice strategies, from an HR perspective. In addition, she regularly advises retailers on issues such as part-time hours and seasonal working, national minimum wage and equality and diversity.
She regularly presents at seminars and workshops both at client premises and externally at HR conferences. When working in Shropshire, Joanne had a regular column in the Shropshire Star, the local newspaper, advising readers on how to deal with their employment issues.
As part of a free range of introductory services, Joanne will review your contracts of employment and handbook to ensure they are fully compliant with current legislation. In addition, should you wish to discuss any aspect of employment law before deciding whether or not formal advice is required, Joanne is happy to meet with you for an initial free discussion to talk about your employment needs.
